Judge's Feedback
Contestants often ask if they can see their contest scorecards. In general it is our policy not to send the judges' scores to contestants. When taken out of context, these numbers are virtually meaningless. In fact, in many cases seeing these raw scores would only discourage the writer, which would be counterproductive to our goals and to yours.
However, in response to requests from past contestants, we're now giving you the opportunity to receive Judge's Feedback in conjunction with your contest entry. We've designed this program in an effort to provide you with input that we believe is constructive, effective, and will truly help advance your career.
"Like taking an advanced course in screenwriting! The notes are lucid, insightful and most helpful."

OUR JUDGES
There are many people in Hollywood and elsewhere who offer their services as script consultants, and most will charge you anywhere from $150 to $750 (or more!) to receive their notes. Some of these individuals are extremely helpful to budding writers, but many are not, and it's virtually impossible to know whose notes will be useful to you until you actually receive them. It's an expensive gamble.
The judges who are hired to review scripts for the First Round of the PAGE Awards are all professional script readers. These are the people who review thousands of new scripts each year for the major Hollywood agencies, management firms, studios and production companies. They have the power to either advance your script to the next level – or send it to the recycle bin with their thumbs down.
And now they've agreed to go to work for you!
"The judge's feedback was extremely helpful, and I'm currently making changes based on it. Sometimes you need encouragement to keep writing, and I found the positive comments a real boost."

HERE'S HOW IT WORKS . . .
When you submit your script to the PAGE Awards competition, you'll have the option of requesting Feedback from your First Round judge in whichever category or categories you enter. So, depending upon how many categories you enter, you may receive Feedback from up to three different industry professionals – all for a price far less than most script consultants charge.
Each of our judges has an extensive background in the industry, and they've evaluated scripts for a wide variety of production companies, agencies, networks and studios. These individuals do not know each other, and they will not see each other's comments or compare notes on your script. They will each evaluate your material from their own unique perspective, and their remarks will reflect not only their personal preferences, but also the requirements and objectives of the studios, agencies and production companies they read for on a daily basis. So if you receive Feedback from more than one judge, you can compare their different perspectives and determine which notes are useful to you and which are not.
Do your judges agree about a certain idea or point of criticism? That tells you something important. Do the judges disagree about some element of your script? That tells you something important, as well.
Best of all, along with your Feedback we'll also send you the credentials of each of your judges, so you can see how their various studios, agencies and production companies might respond to your work.
"The judge was right on the mark in every single point. I am happy to know that such competent people are judging the competition."

READY TO ENTER?
If you decide you want to order Judge's Feedback in conjunction with your entry, simply check the box provided on the contest entry form. The fee is $65 per judge. Your Feedback will be returned to you once the Semi-Finalists are announced in August, or if your script advances further in competition, your Feedback will be sent to you once the Winners are announced in October.
Please remember, if you want Judge's Feedback you must request it when you enter the contest. Otherwise, your judge will not write notes for you and you will not receive your contest scores.
"Although I did not win, the Feedback I requested was excellent by all standards. I plan on entering again!"
